Directlee reads Instagram messages and Page data through Meta. Your Instagram Business or Creator account must be linked to the same Facebook Page you select in Directlee.
If the Page and Instagram do not match, inbox routing and comment automations may fail or target the wrong account.
Before you start
- Instagram must be Business or Creator. See Switch to a professional account.
- You need full admin access to the Facebook Page.
- One Facebook Page links to one Instagram account at a time.
Method A: Facebook Page settings (fastest)
Use this when you already manage a Facebook Page.

Open your Facebook Page (not your personal profile).
Step A1: Open your Facebook Page -
Open Settings for the Page (left menu or Page tools).
Step A2: Page Settings -
Find Linked accounts (under Settings and privacy or similar).
Step A3: Linked accounts -
Select Instagram, then tap Connect account.
Step A4: Connect Instagram -
Log in to Instagram and approve the connection. Confirm the correct Instagram account appears linked to this Page.

Method B: Meta Business Suite
Use this when you manage assets in a Meta business portfolio.

Go to business.facebook.com and select your business.
Step B1: Meta Business Suite -
Open Settings (gear icon, usually bottom left).
Step B2: Settings -
Go to Accounts → Instagram accounts (or Business assets → Instagram).
Step B3: Instagram accounts -
Click Add or Connect Instagram account, then log in to Instagram.
Step B4: Add Instagram -
Confirm the Instagram account is linked to the correct Facebook Page in your portfolio.
Step B5: Confirm Page link
Back in Directlee
- Go to Settings → Connections.
- Tap Re-connect (or Connect) for Facebook.
- Select the Page that is linked to your Instagram.
- Reconnect Instagram if prompted and allow all permissions.
If you still see a Page mismatch error, the Page you picked is not linked to your Instagram in Meta. Repeat Method A or B, then connect again.
Troubleshooting
- Wrong Page selected: pick the Page that shows your Instagram in Meta Page settings.
- No Pages listed: confirm you are Page admin and logged into the correct Facebook account.
- Instagram still not professional: complete Switch to a professional account.
