Data Deletion
Effective date: [PLACEHOLDER: YYYY-MM-DD]
How to delete your Directlee account, workspace, or request erasure of personal data.
Delete your user account (self-service)
- Log in to the dashboard.
- Go to Settings → Account (profile / account section).
- Open the Danger zone.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
What happens:
- Your user record is marked deleted and active sessions are revoked.
- Connected integrations (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok tokens) for your user are removed or invalidated per cascade rules.
- Workspaces you own may be deleted or require separate workspace deletion depending on product flow; verify in-app copy at deletion time.
- Leads, messages, automations, and related data tied to deleted workspaces are scheduled for removal.
- Some data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period for disaster recovery and legal compliance, then purged.
Implementation reference: deleteAccountAction in dashboard actions.
Delete a workspace only
Workspace owners can delete a workspace from account/workspace management (Danger zone on workspace settings) without deleting their Directlee user account if other workspaces remain.
Implementation reference: DeleteOrganizationDialog, org cascade in ORG-CENTRIC-ARCHITECTURE.md.
Disconnect a social platform
To stop new data from a platform without deleting your account:
- Settings → Connections
- Disconnect Instagram, Facebook/Messenger, or TikTok.
This revokes Directlee's use of that token; historical messages and leads already stored remain until you delete them or your account.
End Users (your leads)
If you are a lead who messaged a brand using Directlee, contact that brand directly. They are the data controller. Directlee processes your data on their instructions.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app:
- Email contact@directlee.app from the address associated with your account.
- Include your full name, account email, and a clear deletion request.
- We will verify identity and respond within timelines required by applicable law (e.g. GDPR: without undue delay, typically within one month).
Meta / third-party platforms
Deleting your Directlee account does not delete your Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok account. Revoke Directlee's access in the platform's own settings if needed.
